Former Corry resident and Christian fiction writer Karen Farrell-Jaworski, left, signs a copy of her book “The Christmas Wish” Thursday in Corry City Park. The author is in town from Florida for three book signings and all proceeds from the sale of her books will go toward the Corry Elementary School Playground Fund. Farrell-Jaworski, who also wrote, “Love’s Last Betrayal” and “Forever Remember,” will sign books today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Corry Public Library and from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Corry Higher Education Center. Writer and author Karen Farrell-Jaworski, a former Corry resident and 1985 Corry Area High School graduate, will be in Corry this week for two book signings to benefit the Corry Elementary School playground fund.

She will be stationed downtown at the Thursday in the Park event from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Corry Public Library and 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Corry Higher Education Center.

Farrell-Jaworski’s books may be purchased through most major bookstores or online at www.kfjbooks.com.

She will also have copies for sale during the signing. Her books include Christian fiction novels “The Christmas Wish,” “Love’s Last Betrayal” and “Forever Remember.”

Farrell-Jaworski left the Corry area three years ago to pursue a position in the promotions department of the New York Times newspaper group in Sarasota, Fla.

During her time there, she took charge of writing and editing their nationwide newsletter, as well as spearheading all fundraising and branding efforts for each non-profit agency within their five-county range.

Since then, Farrell-Jaworski has traveled to Fort Worth to volunteer with Americorps too work with single parent women to get a hand up, not a hand out.

Currently, she works full time out of her home office in Florida.

Farrell-Jaworski speaks to women of all ages on many areas that affect them from having success in life.

She holds a degree in relationship psychology and is in the process of writing two more books.
