God Always has Your Best Interest in Mind...
It doesn’t always feel that way but God actually does have your best interest in mind. He loves each and every one of us more than we could ever imagine loving ourselves or anyone else. When times of trouble come our way it is He that bends and shapes that situation to work out for our good and His glory. No matter how it looks in the natural, which means the here and now in our everyday lives, God is hard at work doing whatever it takes to help us become more like Him. Even if that means we have to suffer through things we’d rather avoid.
He wants to be everything to us and if He’s not, it grieves His heart and we have to suffer the consequences. Don’t forget God says in Exodus 20 that He is a jealous God and in Deut. 28:1-14 that if we follow His commandments He will open up the door to His storehouse (which means Heaven) and pour out the tremendous blessings on us. He wants, just like any good parent, to give us the best of everything this life has to offer. He can open up the windows of Heaven and let the good things pour out into our lives as long as we are willing to do our part.
God wants to bless you abundantly above all you could ever ask or think but we have to follow through and ask in faith and believe He is going to do it. That’s all. We have to remember that God can do anything. We just have to exercise our faith in Him and trust that He loves us enough to follow through on His word.
It’s hard to trust and believe in something or someone you cannot see but that’s why it’s a decision of faith on our part. We have to open up our hearts and minds enough to see that God is real and that He wants us to feel like a true child of the King. When we can accept that, we can sit back and watch our lives change in ways we never thought possible.
It is the most important part of our walk with the Lord and that’s believing He really does love us even when things don’t appear that way. God thought of you and worked to draw you in even before you were conceived. He loves you so much that He said in His word that He knows the number of hairs on our head. I don’t know about you, but that’s mind blowing to think about how the God of the universe can think we’re special enough to know exactly how many hairs we have on our head. If He pays that much attention to something so simple, don’t you think the rest of our lives are just as important to Him?
Why don’t you give Him a chance to show you just how much you mean to Him? A test of sorts. Simply begin by talking to Him about what’s on your heart then ask Him to show His love to you by helping you with whatever it is that’s bothering you, then trust Him for it. Believe whatever it is you asked Him to do in your life will come to pass. It might not happen right away, but God is faithful and He will give you the answer that coincides with His will for your life. It’s up to you to open up the eyes of your heart and be sensitive to what He has to say. Once you do anything is possible!
